It was a great help. I passed two Praxis Exams using this book. It would have been more helpful if it was a book that focused on the Secondary Education tests (rather than Elementary, which I did not need), and kept the remaining sections as is, perhaps with a few more practice questions for PTL. I also found that the book is not written in the same language structure as the test. This was perhaps the most difficult obstacle to overcome when I was testing. The practice test questions - both multiple choice and writing formats were extremely helpful, however, they did not go far enough. Testers need to be exposed to the language/style of writing that they will find on the test, as it is ambiguous in its word construction, and they often use different vocabulary. It really threw me off, even though I passed both after only studying very seriously for three weeks. I am an educator, however, with years of experience moving into a new role.

This book is very helpful to get you back into the groove of learning. Especially for math it breaks every concept down, give mini reviews, as well as a chapter review at the end of each chapter to make sure you really grasped everything for that chapter. If you put in enough study time per day this book will be a great studying tool.

I been using the praxis prep 2017-2018 to prepare for my math praxis. I must say it really is a professional product and well put together. I have 3 other praxis books, and this one explains the math problems throughly and concisely. I do appreciate it. I wish it was just focused on the praxis core, and it didn't come with any full length praxis exams. You have to use them on the website. That's a bummer though. I really wanted a full-length exam in the book. Either way it's still a solid book and took of 1 star for the absence of the practice exams in the book.

I found that some of the information was dated. The amount of questions and the time allowed on the practice tests did not align with the questions and times with the current exams. This was a good supplemental book. I wouldn't rely on this alone to pass the Praxis I Core. I used the Praxis Core for Dummies book the most.

This book helped me to pass the praxis 1 on all subjects the first time. Studied for 1 week. It also helped me pass the biology praxis 2 first time! Studied about 2-3 weeks. Now I'm using it for the math praxis 2! P.s. The questions are very similar to the real thing ( I have to do a retake of the math due to system issues)

You must go to the Kaplan site, register your book by providing the word they ask for on chapter 5, first paragraph (necessity, in case anyone wants to try to register for the tests), and then you have access to one practice test for each of the core tests (8 in total). I feel like the book description is completely misleading because it's only one of each kinds of tests. You can easily register for the tests then without paying the $17 and look inside the book for the keyword for the registration, using Amazon's look took, or Google Book's look tool.The fact that there are no physical tests in the book irks me and just feels very cheap, especially as Kaplan has in the past included tests within the book.

Great for the extra hints to help pass the math praxis.However, it doesn't have a full exam in the book; all practice tests have only 30 questions, and many of them are much easier than those on the actual math praxis. It breaks everything down into math subject areas which is good to help you better define the kind of questions being asked. It also has a few mistakes in it and is lacking in giving you all the formulas/questions you need for the actual test.

This book has everything you could possibly want from a PRAXIS prep book. Practice test questions, sample writing prompts, and explanations of how everything is graded. I have not taken my PRAXIS test yet, but this book makes me feel very confident about my ability to score highly on the exam.

An estimated 45 million adults in the U.S. lack a credit score at time when credit invisibility can reduce one’s ability to rent a home, find employment, or secure a mortgage or loan. As a result, individuals without credit—who are disproportionately African American and Latino—often lead separate and unequal financial lives. Yet, as sociologists and public policy experts Frederick Wherry, Kristin Seefeldt, and Anthony Alvarez argue, many people who are not recognized within the financial system engage in behaviors that indicate their credit worthiness. How might institutions acknowledge these practices and help these people emerge from the financial shadows? In Credit Where It’s Due, the authors evaluate an innovative model of credit-building and advocate for a new understanding of financial citizenship, or participation in a financial system that fosters social belonging, dignity, and respect.   Wherry, Seefeldt, and Alvarez tell the story of the Mission Asset Fund, a San Francisco-based organization that assists mostly low- and moderate-income people of color with building credit. The Mission Asset Fund facilitates zero-interest lending circles, which have been practiced by generations of immigrants, but have gone largely unrecognized by mainstream financial institutions. Participants decide how the circles are run and how they will use their loans, and the organization reports their clients’ lending activity to credit bureaus. As the authors show, this system not only helps clients build credit, but also allows them to manage debt with dignity, have some say in the creation of financial products, and reaffirm their sense of social membership. The authors delve into the history of racial wealth inequality in the U.S. to show that for many black and Latino households, credit invisibility is not simply a matter of individual choices or inadequate financial education. Rather, financial marginalization is the result of historical policies that enabled predatory lending, discriminatory banking and housing practices, and the rollback of regulatory protections for first-time homeowners.   To rectify these inequalities, the authors propose common sense regulations to protect consumers from abuse alongside new initiatives that provide seed capital for every child, create affordable short-term loans, and ensure that financial institutions treat low- and moderate-income clients with equal respect. In this, the 5th volume of Dog Eat Doug, we find Sophie and Doug visiting their Grandparents and visiting friends who live on a lake. Sophie is continually up to something and is mostly getting into trouble.By now you would think on the 5th volume of a comic series that you could read an entire years worth of comics and not find any errors, but yet again, I found at least 2 or 3 grammatical errors (to instead of too, you’re instead of your). But they didn’t really affect the story any.The artistry continues to be fun and entertaining. The jokes are kinda rehashed Garfield jokes generally but from a Dog’s perspective instead. Although there was a few that really got me to chuckle. Overall, I think it was a worthy read if you enjoyed the previous volumes.

Dog eat doug is a book of comic strips. When you buy a book of comic strips you expect one funny strip abput every seven strips. Thats about what it was like. I mean they werent hahahahaha funny, or even hahaha funny. I rate this book one "ha" (equivalent to four stars)

This was listed as a hardcover and is a paper back. There’s also a large ugly green price sticker on the front that cannot be removed. Very disappointed.

I ordered these Haggadim because our family is growing and we didn't have enough to go around. Five was all they had or I would have ordered more.

I purchased this Haggadah for our Passover meal. The transaction was a little late and the item was in a more used condition than I expected, but the price was great and it was well worth it to have this item. I received it in time for Passover, so all was fine. I am happy with the transaction and would do it again.

My family used this Haggadah for many years. I grew up on it and I think it still stands the test of time!!!

best haggadah i've ever used

Of all the many editions of the Haggadah that are in print,this is the one that I always keep coming back to. I have a largecollection of Haggadot (close to 100) but when I needed one standard one for everyone at my table I chose the Silverman Haggadah.The Haggadah includes the traditional text with a more up-to-date translation. The english is gender sensitive and there are short commentaries and english readings throughout.All in all I could not imagine going through Passover without this Haggadah.
