But Rowley's mother provides perhaps the best recipe, an easy maceration of fruit and sugar that tastes great over ice cream or on its own. Lovely little book for any friends that love a good, stiff drink. (Or any kind of drink, really.)Got this for my best friend these past holidays, and might have to get MYSELF a copy: it's very easy to get caught up reading the anecdotes and little bits of history. Plus, of course, DRINK MIXES/recipes abound!(Made a great themed gift with this lovely book, a fancy shot glass, and the replacement of one of our most beloved CDs of drinking songs: Whiskey in the Jar: Essential Irish Drinking Songs & Sing Alongs.))
Fun book. Not a lot of new info, but great graphics and written with a fun, comedic approach. Love the history, pictures, and some of the off-the-wall recipes (such as cherry bombs).
Great book . I only wish it was bigger. I read it in 2 days. Full of great info and funny bits. I find myself going back to it over and over again.

Got this for my brother in law as he is into making his own moonshine. He LOVED it! I caught him reading it several times on Christmas and he told us thanks time and time again. He said it had great stories, pictures and recipes.
Not only the history, but the humor ia great. Still have to try the recipes.
